About

Playing music is what I’m purposed to do. It brings me joy and peace.

I mainly play Gospel/Contemporary Christian music. In those styles of music you’ll find jazz, blues, pop & rock styles mixed in as well. It’s very interesting.

I’ve played for some major gospel artists over the years. I’ve played before very large crowds in music halls, arenas and other concert venues.

Teaching others to play is exciting to me! I started teaching private and group music lessons in 1986. To see and hear someone catch on to what I’m teaching is an amazing feeling. I’ve taught hundreds of people from ages 10-84. Some of my former students are now teaching others. I’d like to help you reach your goals as a musician. I’m a patient teacher who moves at your pace. If you’re hungry to grow and you put your time in when it comes to practice, I’ll move right along with you. If you’re hungry to move slowly, I flow with that.

I teach mainly ear/memory. I’m not at all against reading music. It’s just not my strong point. I help you learn the music by giving you a foundational knowledge of the keyboard/ fretboard and basic music theory. We also learn patterns and improv. I’m looking forward to working with you.

Piano lessons offered by are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Lake Tapawingo. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
