About Jyoji

I am willing to teach children/teenagers piano. I am a certified Grade 8 ABRSM Pianist with a Grade 5 Music Theory certificate as well. I have been learning the piano since I was 6 years old and have never lost the passion since! I am willing to teach in any way you like from teaching people the piano in a fun way, to proffesionally teaching them how to get better. Just let me know what you or your child prefers! Accepting both cash and cheques!

I used to teach my sister and children at the elementary school near where I live piano. My parents and music teachers told me that I should start tutoring.

I have played piano for 10 years with a Grade 8 ABRSM certificate and a Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory certificate.

About the lesson

I will first ask them what they know about music and from there teach them a song which is around their level. If they are a complete beginner I will give them an introduction to the keys, telling them which key represents what note on the sheet music.

I have worked with students from ages of 7-13. I am willing to work with any age. There have been many different students who prefer different methods of teaching.

To go to a teacher you enjoy learning from. I believe the number one priority for students should be to enjoy their lessons or else they won't have the motivation to practice in their own time as well.
