About

I started playing the piano at age four and continued lessons through college, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Brigham Young University, where I studied under Irene Peery-Fox and received the E. Mona Smith Scholarship for two consecutive years.

Growing up, I competed throughout the U.S. and Canada, winning several international competitions and performing at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and Abravanel Hall – soloing with the Utah Symphony three times.

Over the past 25+ years, teaching piano has become one of the great joys of my life. I love helping students grow not only in musical skill, but in confidence, discipline, and personal achievement.

I live in Mapleton, Utah with my husband and our four children. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where students can develop strong piano skills and a genuine love for music. I believe that every student learns differently, and lessons should reflect each individual’s goals, interests, learning style, and commitment level.

For students who wish to pursue piano at a higher level, lessons can include focused training in technique, music theory, performance skills, competitions, festivals, and audition preparation. For students who want piano to be a creative and enjoyable part of a busy life, lessons can take a more balanced and flexible approach while still building a solid musical foundation.

I believe that studying music offers benefits that extend far beyond the piano bench.Through consistentpractice and thoughtful instruction, students develop confidence, discipline, perseverance, creativity, and problem-solving skills that serve them throughout their lives.

I also value open communication with families and believe that encouragement at home, combined with consistent instruction, creates the strongest foundation for long-term success. Parents play an important role in supporting their child’s musical growth, and I strive to partner with families to help each student thrive.

Above all, I want my students to experience the joy and fulfillment that music can bring. Whether a student is preparing for performances or simply learning for personal enjoyment, my goal is to help them make steady progress, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy the process along the way.

About the lesson

Piano lessons offered by are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Lehi. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
