About Ecanoa

My service is different becuase I teach students to think it before they play it. I believe... 'if you can think it, you can play it". Learning to think as a pianist wil broaden the student's ability to explore and maintain the longterm benefits of learning to play the piano.

Music, specifically playing the piano is my dominant gift. Therefore, I feel a since of self-fulfillment and purpose. As an instructor, I've contracted with 16 schools and enrolled well over 1,000 piano and drum students. Over the years, I've watched my students soar in music education, recieve music scholarships, and play professionally. Moreover, the appreciation their parents convey makes it all worth it!

I started teaching on Saturday mornings at my father's church about 20 years ago..

* 16 Years teaching music, piano, and percussion in the private and public school sector.

* I've ran my music program in 16 schools.

* I've had over 800 students to enroll in my program.

About the lesson

Discovery Session:

1. I ask the student/parent about their goals.

2. What style/genre of music do you enjoy?

3. Learning Styles? Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Reading & Writing.

4. I teach with expectation while workong according to the student's pace.

I have taught Pre-School, Elem. Middle, High School, and college/adult students. I primarily teach at the beginning and intermediate level.

Comfort and compatability are important when establishing a teacher/student relationship. One way to make sure the relationship is compatible is by knowing the learning style of the student. (Visual, Auditory, Kenesthetic, Logic, etc...) The teaching climate must be welcoming and conducive for learning.
