About Matthew

Music should be a stress reducer, not a stress producer. Music is what feelings sound like. Music should be fun and my goal is to create an environment that fosters creativity and a love for music. I have a Bachelors degree in Music and I am an award winning composer. I have experience with teaching children with special needs and provided music therapy in hospitals for children. I am excited to teach on this online platform.

My job is not work for me. I enjoy seeing people build confidence in themselves and get excited about music and learning. If I had a billion dollars, I would still teach music because this is what I love to do.

I have always enjoyed tutoring and helping my classmates with music theory and piano work. I have multiple teaching jobs that I love.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Music with a focus in Film Score Composition. I have been playing piano my whole life. I have been teaching piano for 6 years.

About the lesson

Get to know one another and ask what they want to learn. This is their lesson and I want them to know I am here to help them meet their goals. First lesson I always teach a five finger note scale and a C chord. We go over the black notes and how easy it is to make music right away. Book work can wait until the next lesson.

All ages, all levels, children with autism, ADD, ADHD and depression. Music is therapeutic to many people and is a great outlet. Music is what feelings sound like.
