About Katrina

I teach people who have never looked at music in their life to play songs within a matter of months. We also have a strong focus on theory and technique as well

I've always wanted to teach music and it is my passion so I knew this is what I would do for a career

I was in orchestra as a 1st violinist during high school all 4 yrs. I attended all region orchestra all for yrs and competes in small competitions. I attended college as a music teaching major from 2016-2018 and have performed in many local ensembles.

About the lesson

I start by teaching basics so with piano I teach them how to figure out what the note is by using little sayings then when they learn that they look at music and use those sayings. And then I show them the piano is just in ABC order and and show them where the anchor is for most songs which is middle C now they will take the notes from the music and find them on the keyboard. Then we slowly ween from having to find the notes.

Beginner to intermediate

Never give up music isn't something that is going to be easy to learn. You've got to know it's something you want and continue to work for it. Also practice everyday!

I recently had the opportunity to do a duet with and organ while the choir sang hark the Harold angels sing. It was absolutely beautiful
