About Jacqueline

I am a graduate of Fisk University and the Boston Conservatory of Music . I have been teaching Music and piano for many years. Many of my students have won major competitions and have graduated from major colleges and universities. I have teaching music in the in the public students for over 32 years. I have taught private voice and piano for over 20 years.

I enjoy seeing my students accomplish playing piano pieces they thought they could never play.

I started teaching over 40 years in Hartford, Connecticut after graduating with my Masters degree from the Boston Conservatory of Music.

I am a classically trained singer and a lover of opera. I am a trained musician in interpreting African American Sprituals from my experience as a Fisk Jubilee Singer, from Fisk University., Nashville, Tennessee. I teach students how to read music and play the piano professionally.

About the lesson

I work slowly according to the students motivation. I include theory lessons that are included in the lesson. I motivate my students with stickers and verbal praise.

I have worked with bevy to advance students . I have worked with students with disabilities as well but high functioning.

I enjoy attending operas at the Adrienne Arsht Center downtown Miami with the Florida Grand Opera and the Ross Cultural Arts Center in the South Dade area. I love the last concert with the jazz singer , Samara Joy. I enjoy my students piano and voice recital given every year.

I usually charge $25.00 for a 30 minute lesson and up to $40 for one hour.
