I have studied jazz piano with Dr. Wittert and have progressed tremendously. He did a thorough assessment of my skills and formulated a plan of study with short and long term goals. Instead of just teaching "licks", which he certainly did form time to time, we studied the building blocks of the language of Jazz. This enabled me to play improvisation that sounded good with my ideas. We hit the the ground running stressing slow practice, mastery of a concept and how to collect pieces of the language of jazz for my jazz "toolbox". You will be with a great teacher and make fast progress. He will show you how practice can be fun while still being structured. Five stars!
