About Kipp

Hello! My Name is Kipp. I have 15 years of experience teaching piano and organ and 25 years of performing experience. I have a passion for teaching and developing skills and musicianship of young aspiring musicians. My philosophy is to teach strong technique from an early age to allow years of injury free and musical playing. Kipp’s students have the opportunity to play twice a year for student recitals in the spring and fall. For the recitals he encourages every one of his students to perform at any level! He also fosters an encouraging environment among his students. He also has a simi-concert grand piano that his students get to take lessons perform on. Getting regular time on a grand is essential considering how mechanically different they are from upright pianos.

Bio:

Kipp Gill has 15 years of experience teaching piano and organ. A few of Kipp’s students have gone on to study music at a University. Two of his more advanced high school students will be featured as solo artists at this years Macon Youth Orchestra concert at Wesleyan College playing works by Beethoven and Chopin.

As an avid performer on piano, Kipp enjoys frequently collaborating with instrumentalists, singers, and choirs in the mid-Georgia area. Last December he was featured as one of four pianists performing on four pianos for the annual Carols and Keyboards at First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia and First Baptist Church Decatur, offering seasonal music concerts.

In addition to his active teaching and piano performance schedule, Kipp is also an active organ recitalist, having recently performed solo guest recitals at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Evanston, Illinois; Chapel of the Cross, Madison, Mississippi; Peace Presbyterian Church in Lakewood Ranch, Florida; St. George’s Episcopal Church, Griffin, Georgia; and St. Philips Cathedral, Atlanta, Georgia.

Kipp earned a Master of Music in organ performance at Mercer University, in Macon, Georgia. His undergraduate degree from Mississippi College was also in organ performance.

Piano lessons offered by Kipp are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Warner Robins. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
