About Cindy

I love helping students learn skills that they can use for playing music they love! I have many years of experience teaching kids and teens and adults and have seen so many enjoy the music making process! Classical foundation with supplemented styles as well.

I began teaching while still a student at the Cleveland Institute of Music in their preparatory department, in conjunction with my pedagogy classes. Afterwards, I branched out privately.

Masters in Music Ed. - Case Western Reserve University

About the lesson

I will work with the parent or student in learning their goals. After a foundation is built we can branch into other styles if desired. I consider note-learning and technique very important, but it will not get in the way of making music!

I have taught very beginners as young as 4. I have taught shy, outgoing, and teens and adults.

Be willing to dedicate yourself to regular practice. Look for a teacher who is enthusiastic and has experience. If looking for your child, the teacher should love kids. A trial lesson is helpful if offered. I do!

Always enjoy annual student recitals! An opportunity to reflect on students’ progress, while enjoying some fun music!
