About Colette

We absolutely LOVE teaching music and working with our students, helping them reach their highest potential. We love sharing our love of music and learning with our students.

We have been in education for the past 20 years and have been working in the Music Education field in Westchester and NYC since then.

We are excited to meet you and work with you! We can't wait to help you become a great musician, find your strengths, work on your weaknesses and get you to a higher musical level.

We are certified Music Teachers in New York State. Our students have gone on to perform on Broadway and on NYC stages, as well as stages in Hawaii, Austria, Germany and Australia.

I have my Bachelors and two Masters in Music Education. I also hold my New York State Music Teachers' Certificationa and have since 2007.

About the lesson

I meet with the new student and in our first lesson we go over their goals for our lessons together. We discuss the possibilities of music we could work on and learn. I ask about their previous music experience. I also ask new students about the time commitment they will be able to give to practice and lessons and what their musical goals are ie. to perform, learn a particular style of music, etc. I think it's imperative as an educator to get an idea of what students are looking to learn. Each student is completely different and I like giving my students and their lessons a personal touch.
