About Sherry

We offer skilled practitioners of movement therapy, Pilates, meditation/visualization, low impact cardio for chronic challenges, yoga, Qi hung and aerial therapeutics.

This work is full of activities and experiences to heighten ease, flexibility, strength and integration. I deeply enjoy sharing these gems and learning from each unique individual while we investigate what "recipe" will support and benefit them to reach their goals.

I came to this work out of necessity, looking for resources to manage pain, injury and illness over 30 years ago. After becoming a certified Pilates practitioner(equipment and mat) I spent 4 years researching somatic movement therapy modalities and becoming certified and registered as a Somatic Movement Therapist/educator. I continue my research as faculty at Princeton University and the Center for Kinesthetic Education in NYC. This work never ceases to amaze me, inform and support my wellness, health and foster deeper ease.

I began teaching dance and choreography as a classical dancer. I then began teaching yoga and Pilates, eventually mediation/visualization and other somatic modalities.

I am a fully certified Pilates Practioner

I am a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist/Educator

I have extensive training in yoga(30 yrs) anatomy and kinesiology (30 years)

About the lesson

I speak to new students via phone and then, if I feel I can serve them well, I invite them to my office and we discuss and find strategies to support their process and goals.

From age 1 to age 96, folks managing injuries, injury prevention, illness, Parkinsons, Cancer, Scoliosis, rheumatic disorders, nervous system disorders, menta health challenges, and developmenta challenges.

Make sure they have experience, are certified through a qualified organization, registered, even better, and make sure you feel good as you work with them. If you do not feel and see results in 5 -20 sessions, consider finding someone else. Don't give up on your goals!

Moving for Life is a program I have been teaching with for 17 years (NYC) and we recently had an online benefit event where I lead a class on zoom and we had such a wonderful group of people dancing, enjoying, donating to a wonderful cause.
