About Nancy

At the age of three I dreamed of being a potter making huge pots.

I got my first real chance to pursue ceramics when I attended State College of Florida from ‘76-78. At 20, I was accepted into Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida, which did not have a ceramic department. After studying sculpture there two years I left college to head west to start a family in Kansas City. For nearly 40 years, ceramics were put aside while I raised and homeschooled my four children, took up urban organic homesteading, organic farming, herbal studies and organic soap making. The dream to make large pottery never went away though.

In 2021 I returned full time to college. I am a ceramic student currently at Kansas City Art Institute. I will be graduating 2024 with a BFA, majoring in Ceramics and minoring in Entrepreneurial Studies major and Asian Studies.

I began teaching organic farming classes, which went to soap-making, bath and body care and then pottery

Ive attended State College of Florida, Ringling School of Art and Design to further my Ceramics. Im currently a ceramic student at Kansas City Art Institute and will major in ceramics 2024.

ive taught homeschoolers and their parents and 4 H students.
