About Chia Yi
Hi, I’m an experienced math tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s in Data Science and Analytics. I have experience teaching primary and secondary mathematics, and I especially enjoy helping young students build strong foundations and confidence in math.
I want to teach because I truly enjoy guiding students to understand concepts clearly and seeing their confidence grow. Mathematics can feel challenging at first, but with the right support and approach, every student can improve and even enjoy learning it. My goal is to make math simple, supportive, and encouraging, while helping students achieve better results in their exams.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and supportive, especially for primary school students preparing for exams. I focus on building strong basics first, because a clear foundation helps children solve questions with confidence. I explain concepts in simple and easy-to-understand ways, using step-by-step guidance and plenty of practice. I always encourage students to ask questions and learn at their own pace, while helping them develop good problem-solving skills and exam techniques. My goal is to help students improve their results, feel more confident, and enjoy learning mathematics.
