About Ashley
I am a dedicated and patient tutor who believes that every student has the ability to succeed when they are given the right guidance, encouragement, and learning approach. My professional background spans multiple industries, including healthcare, behavioral therapy, laboratory management, eCommerce, retail, and project management. This diverse experience has strengthened my ability to communicate complex information clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
I take pride in creating a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through areas they find difficult. I believe that building confidence is just as important as mastering the material, and I work with each student to develop a clear understanding of the subject while encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving.

My approach to tutoring is personalized, practical, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize it. I first identify each student’s current level, learning style, strengths, and areas where they need additional support. From there, I adapt my teaching methods to make challenging concepts easier to understand and apply.
I use clear explanations, real-world examples, guided practice, questions, and repetition when helpful. I also encourage students to think through problems independently, so they build confidence and develop skills they can use beyond a single assignment or exam.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and an opportunity for the student to identify any questions or areas they are struggling with. We then introduce or review the main topic for the session, breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces.
After explaining the material, I use examples and guided practice to make sure the student understands how to apply what they have learned. As the lesson progresses, I gradually give the student more independence and provide feedback and clarification as needed. We finish by reviewing the key takeaways and identifying anything that should be reinforced in the next lesson.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is my ability to meet students where they are and adjust my approach based on how they learn best. I believe that struggling with a subject does not mean a student is incapable of mastering it—it often means the material needs to be explained in a different way.
I bring patience, encouragement, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students become more confident, independent learners who understand why something works rather than simply knowing the answer.
