About Henry

Obtaining 110 in TOEFL, 1580 in SAT, 2300 in SSAT, I have more than enough knowledge about the tests and how to take them. I also had prior tutoring experiences in my original test prep organization as assistant tutor. I have my speical way of taking these tests that are probably different from the most common methods.

I started teaching because I love children. My first teaching experience was teaching English classes in a local Chinese kindergarten and I just enjoyed the time I spent with the children and teaching them the knowledge that I learned from my education. It gives me confidence and make myself proud by teaching what I know to other young children.

I have taken several sessions of course in Training the Trainer to Train(TTT), which is a internationally famous course for trainers. I also have prior experiences in tutoring kindergarten and elementary school children in person.

About the lesson

First I want to get to know the student not as a tutor but as a friend that can bring close our relationship to let him/her feel less pressure in the lesson because test prep is a very stressful thing. Then I would give him/her a practice test to see what is his/her current level and where he/she meets the difficulty. I will then design my cource based on the difficulty that the student have.

Kindergarten and elementary students.

If you don't have a prior experience in taking a SAT tutoring session and you want to get help for test prep it is always a good worth to try. If you do have prior experience, then you should try different tutors with different teaching methods to see which one can help you the most.
