This course was started with one goal in mind: providing students from all walks of life with an affordable, user-friendly platform to learn the Alto, Tenor or Baritone Saxophone. My innovative tutorials give users the opportunity to expand their horizons and learn new skills - all from the comfort of their own device.

I have been playing and teaching for decades and have launched hundreds of students on their saxophone journey. This course was started with one goal in mind: providing people from all walks of life with an affordable, user-friendly learning experience. Whether it's learning to play well in your school band or becoming a professional saxophonist that performs all over the world I can help you because I have done it myself! I know this because after 45 years of playing I still enjoy the satisfaction I get playing cool music with my friends.

I am a music educator with 36 years experience and hold a Music Education degree from Aquinas College.

Jon Montgomery has been a saxophonist for over four decades and quickly became a first call musician for numerous corporate recordings and performances with: The Temptations / The Four Tops / Aretha Franklin / Lou Rawls / Fabian/ Oak Ridge Boys / Bobby Shew/ Bill Watrous / Johnny Mathis / Lou Christie / and many others.

Jon joined the U.S. Army as a saxophonist and eventually became the Commander and Conductor of the 126th Army Band in Michigan until his retirement in 2017.

Jon has been a featured soloist traveling throughout the United States and to Germany, Italy, Australia, Trinidad, Belgium, Denmark, and France.

As a teacher Jon has started the musical journeys of hundreds of students while instructing at the Collegiate and High School levels. His dedication to music education spans 36 years and he has helped his students earn numerous awards and scholarships at the nation’s best music schools and festivals.

Jon currently performs throughout the Midwest with the area’s top musicians. His decades of experience and soulful sound are in demand and he delivers them with Sax Dakota Saxophones.

I charge $20 for a 25 minute lesson. There is a $5 dollar savings if you pay for a package of 4 per month.
