About Dominic
I got started teaching by helping other saxophone students with certain things they either didn't understand or needed help with. Then the love for it just started to grow from there.
I have years of study under faculty at New Mexico School for the Arts that trains me in Jazz and Classical Saxophone specifically as well as a lot of Music Theory and Ear Training.

I tend to listen to them play and talk to them to understand what kind of training they've had if they've had any. Then I begin with things that would give them a little bit of a challenge but not overwork them so it stays fun and interesting as playing and learning music should be.
I've worked with students that are both stubborn and want to stick to what they know and students who are passionate about learning and ready to absorb new knowledge.
Look for saxophone or music teachers that are excited about music and what they do. Because if you don't your love for music could fade with the wrong teacher.
The summer of 2019 my jazz band and I went out to Chengdu, China to perform at the Sister Cities Music Festival and it was one of the greatest musical moments of my life. I got to meet so many people from around the world and experience tons of different types of music first hand.
