About Chelsea

I have been sewing since my mother taught me at the age of 5. I continued my passion for sewing and design in college. With a bachelor's degree in Fashion design and 20+ years of experience, I have expansive knowledge of sewing techniques. I would love to help others find their passion for the art of sewing!

It all started as a camp counselor to soccer coach and now I am a substitute teacher in my free time.

I have a bachelor's degree in Fashion design and I work part time as a substitute teacher.

About the lesson

We would start with sewing down lines on paper. This will show me how confident they are with maneuvering the machine. Next we go through how to thread their machine and test the tension in order to learn how to correct any problem. Then comes simple projects based on the level of proficiency.

I worked with ages 5 to 18. I have some experience with special needs but not in the realm of sewing.

Find a teacher that will allow creative freedom!

I was nannying for a family with 6 kids. While I was there I taught the 4 older ones how to use their sewing machines.
