About Danielle
I am a young, youthful, yet experienced seamstress who loves to teach this wonderful life skill/hobby! I have about 14 years of sewing experience that varies from simple projects to big projects like my wedding gown. Anyone who has the drive to accomplish their dream can do so! That is what I love to encourage my students to do.
I am open to traveling, in house, or online classes. We would just talk out what is best for us both.
I started sewing when I was around 6, both my grandmas taught me and then I continued teaching myself. I took 4 years of Fashion Design in high school, and actually helped my teacher teach my peers while I was in class. I won a FCCLA competition for my prom dress while I was in high school. I then went to Lipscomb University for Fashion Design for a year, then decided to pursue fashion on my own terms. I've worked at an alterations shop, David's Bridal as an alterations specialist, and an indie sewing pattern company as a fashion designer. I designed and sewed my wedding gown. I have taught one-on-one sewing lessons and love it!
Design and sewing is so rewarding. When you have a beautiful vision and create it into reality is so wonderful! This is what I love most: getting to watch a dream come true as I help mold the skills for creating your dream!
