About Maile

My name is Maile. I am a costume designer who has been sewing for 30+ years. . I have experience and skills honed in a variety of professional work experiences including Cirque Du Soliel (Dralion) and The California Shakespeare Theater as well as an independent creative sewing business. Bringing imagination and play is so exciting and fun to create that perfect outfit has become my passion!

Are you looking for hand sewing or machine lessons? Do you have a sewing machine? I have a couple different machines including embroidery and serger, that I can bring if do not own. What type of projects are you interested in making? What skill level would you say you are at?

I was working in costume shop helping others and then expanded to teach a technique or project to friends and the to others.

I have experience and skills honed in a variety of professional work experiences including Cirque Du Soliel (Dralion) and The California Shakespeare Theater as well as an independent creative sewing business. I have taught elementry age students and all ages and skill levels. This is a skill that is fun and totally creative with NO limits!
