About Juliana
My name is Juliana Tassos, and I am an actor in New York, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan and currently pursuing my Masters in Music at NYU, I am deeply passionate about singing and dedicated to nurturing young talents in their musical journey.
My journey in musical theatre and vocal performance has equipped me with a profound understanding of the importance of vocal training and technique. As a vocal coach, I have had the privilege of working with some of Broadway's finest performers, learning from their expertise, and incorporating their insights into my teaching approach.
I am incredibly passionate about fostering a healthy, successful, and enjoyable singing experience for each of my students. I firmly believe that a personalized approach is key to unlocking the full potential of every voice. By tailoring lesson plans to suit individual voice types, vocal ranges, and personal goals, I strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can thrive and develop their talents to the fullest.
I began teaching while in undergrad at the University of Michigan and have since become involved in this aspect of my career and have very much enjoyed the opportunity.
I have a BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan and am earning my Masters Degree in Musical Theatre at NYU in the Steinhardt Vocal Performance Program. I am extremely knowledgeable of the business and have a lot of practical knowledge to share. I am also a working actor and when I am not working I am always taking lessons from my colleagues and teachers to strengthen my skills and be successful in this field.

We’ll start by establishing some goals or intentions for our coaching sessions and come up with a plan on how to realistically work towards them. I coach college audition material, musical theatre, etc.
I have taught all ages ranging from Preschool to High School and adults.
This coaching is to benefit you as an artist, so finding someone you’re comfortable with is imperative. Try to have an idea of what you want out of the lessons and the goals you hope to achieve and then make sure you are compatible with the teaching style of the teacher in question.
I recently performed at the Green Room 42 in a Musical Theatre Cabaret for the NYU Graduate Students and I had so much fun singing music from SMASH.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why are you wanting a coach? What are your goals? Am I willing to work hard for those goals?
Additionally, I prioritize incorporating music genres and songs that excite and inspire the student, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated in their learning journey. By striking a balance between technical growth and personal enjoyment, I aim to cultivate a repertoire that not only challenges the student to expand their vocal capabilities but also reflects their unique artistic identity and aspirations.

This fee includes outside research and preparation for each coaching session. There may be additional costs if there is any accompaniment that would have to be made outside of the lesson by my colleague.
