About Christopher
I was a sought-after tenor soloist in the SE Michigan area for over 30 years, having been a featured soloist on numerous occasions with the Detroit Symphony, the Toledo Symphony, the Windsor Symphony, and many others. I have sung on the Brunch with Bach series at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and have appeared on local television and radio.
My specialties are oratorio, church music, opera, and lieder. In teaching young singers, even those who are primarily pop singers, I believe a solid foundation in traditional, 'classical' singing technique is essential. My students are schooled in the fundamentals of good breath support, proper tone production, diction, and musicality, with the goal of producing a well-rounded musician, not just a good singer.
