About Kenneth

The Human Voice is one of the most amazing instruments ever created. No matter if you are singing or speaking, it is a major part of how we express ourselves and connect with the audiences large and small.

As a professional opera singer, the voice is something I have trained to use to it’s optimal level to tap every emotion needed to express myself in Music. Every voice has some thing to say and through training and voice lessons we find how to best make our own voices speak. As a voice teacher, my goal is to help you find a healthy vocal technique that allows you to sing/say what you want with confidence. Each voice lesson is a one on one 45 mins long session where we will explore your sound and how to produce a healthy tone with your unique voice.

I hold degrees from Ohio University and University of Michigan. I’ve trained at San Francisco Opera and Washington National Opera and continue to perform at opera houses throughout the world. Music has enriched my life and I love sharing it with my students.

I started teaching voice in Grad-school to Musical Theatre majors. As a working professional, I am often asked to come teach master classes when I am in various cities.

I am professional opera singer that travels the world performing. I have degrees from Ohio University and University of Michigan. I’ve trained at San Francisco Opera and Washington National Opera and teach Masterclass throughout the country.

About the lesson

When working with new students, the first thing I do is figure out what their goals are in taking lessons. Then we figure where we are in reaching those goals and formulate a plan of action to reach them. We figure out how much experience they have and where would be the best place to start training.

I’ve worked with students who have ambitions os being professional and those that just want to sound better in their respective choirs. There are also those people that just want to be better singers and know how to use their voice more expressively.

Teachers are important in your development and you have to find someone that works best for you. Learning to sing is a very individual thing because our instruments are our bodies which fluctuates with how we feel. You have a find a teacher that understands the mechanics of singing but also the emotional blocks that may be affecting your singing.

I taught a guy who wanted to sing a song at his upcoming wedding. He’s never tried singing but LOVED this one somg and had to sing it to his bride. We worked 2 sessions a week for 4 2weeks leading up to the wedding. He invited me to the wedding and I couldn’t have been more proud of the job he did.
