About Jasmine
I’m currently a student at GW majoring in Finance/Business Analytics with a minor in Spanish. I’m a native Spanish speaker from Chicago. My business differs from others in a sense that it’s much more affordable and as a college student it’s much easier for me to find teaching methods that suit younger kids. I have quadruplet siblings age (8) and a sister who is 12. The advantage of being able to teach you or your child a new language is that I now exactly what you will need. Rather than spending too much of your money and time on worthless words or concepts. I will target what is essential to the language.
I worked as an instructor with Jumpstart for 3 years. The ages I focused on were between 3-5. The only difference is that these were native Spanish speakers leaning English as a second language.

It all depends on the age but ideally I will begin with the basics, and practice the basics in conversation rather than jumping to more complicated words as often taught in academic courses. I’ve heard from students learning the language now that they wish there was an opportunity to practice how to use the words before learning another dozen.
My advice is pick an instructor that won’t charge you too much. Now a days there are many resources available to all who want to learn a new language, websites, apps, books etc. Find the teacher that will go that extra step to teach you what the books can’t.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Rather than talking to a teacher about needs, talk to a teacher about wants. I will know what you need to learn but I am most interested in learning what you want to me to teach. Then from there we can structure a plan that allows me to teach you what you need to learn while incorporating the wants.
