About Gianella

Hi, I ́m Gianella! Founder of Virtual Language Pros.

I ́m passionate about languages and our MISSION is to help our students master foreign languages in such a way that they have the confidence they need and excel in language proficiency.

I am multilingual -Spanish, English, French, and Italian- with over 16 years of experience teaching languages in 3 countries -Costa Rica, France and USA-.

I have taught groups and privates, all ages and levels.

After teaching at Berlitz and at Lycée Bertran de Born in Périgueux, France, I founded and ran ̈Idiomas Globales ̈ for 11 years in Costa Rica, where I was blessed to help students from 17 countries. In the United States, I taught at Saint Mary ́s College at Notre Dame in Indiana. Now, here I am in this virtual endeavor with Virtual Language Pros to keep helping people learn and improve foreign languages.

The fact of having learned and studied languages at different institutes, and after having taught to so many students in different settings, has enabled me to apply successful learning and teaching strategies to help our students better.

OUR VISION is to help improve and transform the personal and professional lives of our students through the mastery of foreign languages.

I started teaching professionally in my early 20´s when I had finished my post graduate degree in French Literature at the University. I was given the opportunity to teach Spanish -my native language- in France. It was a one-year contract with the French Embassy.

When I returned, I went to work at Berlitz Language Institute in Costa Rica. I taught there the 4 languages for 2 years and when I turned 30, I founded my own language institute, IDIOMAS GLOBALES that I ran for 11 years teaching to all levels, all ages, privates and groups.

When I moved to the USA, I taught languages at St Mary´s College and in 2021 I decided to launch VIRTUAL LANGUAGE PROS to keep teaching languages but now virtually.

I am multiingual -ENGLISH, SPANISH, FRENCH and ITALIAN- (still studying German)

I have taught the four languages in Costa Rica, France and the USA in corporate and in educational settings.

I owned IDIOMAS GLOBALES, a language institute for 11 years where we taught languages and offered workshops, clubs and more!

I have taught language classes for private and gropus, all levels and all ages. The oldest person I have taught to was a man that was in his 80´s, he started French from scratch and in two years he was in Interediate level.

I taught languages in Lycée Bertran de Born in France and at St. Mary´s College in Indiana.

About the lesson

Once we know the student´s needs, we work out a plan to accomplish his/her goals

I have taught kids, teenagers and adults -including seniors-

I have taught in corporate and educational settings: private and groups from both companies and students from school, high school and universities

I have also taught languages to US Navy Seals and people with different professional backgrounds: Pilots, Architects, Dentists, Missionaries, Entrepreneurs, General Managers, Sales Managers, Lawyers, Stay-at-home moms, Maids, IT Specialists, Accountants...

Just in IDIOMAS GLOABLES, the language institute that I ran for 11 years, I taught languages to students from 17 countries

I have taught languages in 3 countries: Costa Rica, France and the United States

I always tell my new students that we have to work as a team and I tell them that the learning of a language requires dedication and persistance.

Learning a language will open wonderful doors of opportunity and growth!

Definitely when I founded my language Institute IDIOMAS GLOABLES from scratch in 2004 until August 2015.

Having taught French to an 80 year-old man was also a very nice experience. I taught him for two and a half years and he got to the Intermediate level. That is proof that anyone can learn a language at any age!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to analyze how serious they are about learning a language, as well, as how much time they will be willing to commit to the learning of a language before talking about their needs.
