About Kristen
I began my Spanish learning by taking classes in 6th grade, continuing through junior high and high school, and earned a minor in Spanish at Texas State University. In university, I traveled abroad to Cuernavaca, Mexico where I studied Spanish and perfected my everyday communication skills and also lived and worked abroad in Villahermosa, Mexico. I have 3 years of experience teaching Spanish to 6th and 7th grade students in a public middle school in Fort Bend. Currently, I am privately teaching Spanish both online and in person.
Being a native English speaker, I remember the difficulties I had when first learning Spanish and I use that to tap into my students' needs. I have classroom and real world experience and over the past 10 years I have developed the tools necessary to simplify Spanish grammar for my students. My expertise is in breaking difficult concepts into understandable terms and making sure my students have the knowledge they need to ace their exams. Whether we are working on listening, reading, writing, or conversational skills, I make sure that my students walk away from every session feeling more confident and in control. I am passionate about seeing my students succeed and nothing makes me happier than sensing their excitement about becoming bilingual.
It would be my pleasure to be the perfect Spanish tutor to help you or your student succeed. If you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask. I am looking forward to chatting about you or your student's needs.
Saludos,
Kristen
