About Lydia

I love to help people of all ages learn. I have taken several Spanish classes and have also studied it in my own. My Spanish is not necessarily fluent, but it is at least at a level of high intermediate to advanced. English is my native language. I also am a beginner in the French language. I have volunteered in a Children's Museum and in an assisted living facility, so my teaching is available for people of all ages. I have been tutoring spanish through school for several years.

I enjoy helping people in general, but helping others learn and grow is my specialty. Being able to improve language skills is not just a hobby, it's a passion of mine.

I started in high-school as I had taken many spanish courses at a young age. In most cases, it was just a colleague and I was to help with obtaining better grades. Later, though, I started to help more and more people, not just throughh school.

As mentioned in my bio, I have volunteered at various places that give me experience as a tutor in Spanish and English. For many years, I have tutored fellow colleagues to help get Spanish grades up and also for a personal desire to learn.

About the lesson

I will ask for their goals in learning a language, and their preferred method of learning. In almost all cases, learning through listening and practicing speech is the most efficient and effective way to understand Spanish.

I have worked with young children, the elderly, and anyone and everyone in between.

What is my goal through learning? Am I working to improve grades? Am I learning purely out of a want to travel? Either way, the most important question is your preferred method of learning and improving.

I liked her experience and patient work ethic. Lydia was very helpful and helped me get to an intermediate level of Spanish easily. The goal was to be able to speak at a decent level for travelling convenience, which I quickly achieved thanks to Quick Spanish Lessons.
