About Navin
Hi,
I have been a very good swimmer, waterpolo and tennis player. Started when I was around 7 or 8 years old and have participated competitively at school, college and Army levels. After playing for almost 20 years I have been now teaching/coaching for 15 years. I 'm presently teaching tennis private lessons and am a swim instructor at a Park District where I teach group and private lessons. I am exceptionally good with beginners as also experienced players as I am a patient , experienced and encouraging coach.
I like my students to progress at a comfortable pace keeping learning the right technique as most important factor. I love to teach kids and adults alike and my students are from 3-70 years old. Thanks
I used to play with my friends and give tips on how to improve their game. They asked me to start coaching their kids as they noticed that I am patient teacher and could give good tips for learning the game.
I have been a player and coach for many years now.

I like to teach beginners the basics of the sport and then progress with them at a pace they are comfortable with, teaching them the techniques and intricacies.
For tennis I teach them forehand, backhand, servicing, volleys and footwork in the first few sessions
For swimming, I teach floatation, breathing, any or all the four strokes depending on what student wants to learn. I also am a coach and referee for waterpolo.
I am teaching beginners (from 2.5 years old kid to 55 years old adults) and school students with some experience.
Look for a teacher who is experienced, encouraging and patient with the student.
A parent of a 7 year old kid came to me after the first 3 lessons to say that their daughter who was not interested learning earlier was now crazy about the game and wants to come for lessons every day.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is their aim of taking lessons - just to learn to play, take it as one of the sports they want to pursue, get competitive ...

Very calm and patient with kids, and also flexible with scheduling. We could see progress after just 10 classes.
Great tennis teacher and great person!
What I like about him is punctuality, dedication, knowledge, sociability, companionship, and especially the ability to push you to the right direction. I enjoy the sessions and have gained immensely.

Navin worked with my six-year-old son, who was a beginning tennis player. He was patient and clear in teaching the core concepts, and kept my son interested - not always easy! We are looking forward to working with him again.
Navin is a very patient teacher and quickly adapts to the student's leaning needs. I found Navin very approachable and flexible. He makes the students comfortable and learning a fun activity
He is a great tennis teacher! My 2 daughters and husband took private lessons all summer. He was very punctual, professional and customized the class to their needs. My girls were excited and looked forward to each class. My husband was able to get a lot of tips from him on improving his game. We highly recommend him.
