About Kyle

West Coast Swing (WCS) is a partner dance enjoyed by people of all ages, shapes, and cultures. WCS can be danced to a wide range of music and emphasizes improvisation and communication between partners. Like a language, once you learn the structure, you can start having conversations on the dance floor. Both partners contribute to the dance, which opens up endless avenues of creativity.

WCS was designed to evolve and incorporate elements from other dance styles as sources of inspiration, It is the modern version of traditional swing and continues to constantly change with music preferences.

My name is Kyle Simon and I have been dancing WCS for a little over 8 years. I compete in the advanced division and I teach regularly throughout Ohio. For more information regarding private lessons please check out my website at:

I love being a teacher and a mentor. I believe in people. I believe that we all have the ability to grow, to change, to improve, to make progress. I believe that when we have the right confidence and encouragement, we give the world the gift of showing up as our best selves. I believe that's why I am here, to teach, to give back, to help others, it's what I was made to do.

I actually run my own private tutoring business as well. I have been actively teaching for over 10 years and I have found that it is my niche. Every person has a unique learning style and it is my job to figure out how you learn best.

I have been dancing west coast swing for over 8 years and I have learned from some of the best WCS dance professionals in the world.

About the lesson

Every student that I work with needs to build a solid foundation in the principles of west coast swing. If these skills can be mastered more advanced material will be easier to learn.

I have worked with students that have no dance experience as well as seasoned dancers who are trying to perfect their technique and body movement. I love working with anyone as long as they are optimistic and willing to put in the work to reach their dance goals.
