I have had over 10 hours of lessons with John over the past three months, and plan on continuing to work with him. He is a great coach, easy going person, and knows his stuff. He is able to critique one's stroke – and make that one simple suggestion that nudges you in the right direction – that allows the student to find his own way to solve the problem. He's particular intuitive regarding the "rhythm" of the game; a few adjustments he's suggested to various aspects of timing: breathing, split step, when to finish the backswing, recovering after the stroke – were in my opinion high quality coaching advice that have allowed me to greatly improve my game. John's lessons also incorporate a sound structure, including a standard warm up routine, ground stroke practice, practicing various patterns in a point, specific techniques and then simulated games. Finally, John was amenable to my schedule and location for lessons. I highly recommend John as a tennis pro.
