About Fayo
Hello! I'm Fayo Akinsanmi, a dedicated 17-year-old tennis player with five years of intensive training at the Tennis Academy of the South. Over the years, I've competed in both the GIAA and GIAAA divisions, winning state championships for my school. Notably, I achieved a high UTR of 7 during my sophomore year.
I am passionate about coaching because I love mentoring and helping other students elevate their game. My coaching style focuses on identifying the subtle aspects of a player’s technique and strategy that can make a significant difference. I take pride in explaining these insights clearly and working with players to help them capitalize on their strengths and address their weaknesses. With my experience and enthusiasm, I'm confident I can make a positive impact on any player’s performance.
I am also passionate about the piano, having played for 11 years and trained at the William Pu Music Academy for the past 6 years. In 2021-22, I was honored to receive the NFMTA's Best Contemporary Pianist Award. My approach to teaching piano is unique; I expose my students to a wide range of genres, allowing them to choose the pieces they are most excited to play. This personalized method not only fosters a deeper love for music but also encourages creative expression and keeps lessons engaging and fun.
