About William

I provide a comprehensive approach to learning about music. My students not only walk away with a new attitude about music, but with tools to help tackle any challenges.

I started teaching music when i began teaching music at my parish. Soon enough, I realized that teaching is exciting and allows me to help others succeed in music.

I am currently studying music at Pasadena City College. I have experience playing in various ensembles at the college with different instruments (electric bass, vibes, tuba). My musical ventures have allowed me to play with musicians from varying disciplines such as Layla Hathaway, Kachiro Thompson, and Hunter Hayes. As well as playing, other musical aspects such as music theory, composition, music recording have been essential to solidifying my foundation as a musician.

About the lesson

Breathing exercises are a must for my wind students. Students will learn how to make the most out of their practice time with regimented practice session, all regulated by the student themselves.

As for my string instruments, having excellent finger dexterity as well as establishing good rhythm is essential.

I have worked with middle-high school students as well as adults who have experience on their instrument.

Find someone who helps you challenge yourself. If things become too boring, demand more challenges. Also, find someone who cares about your musical journey as well.

I recently played with Kachiro Thompson on bass in Puerto Rico. Playing bass with him and his ensemble was a great learning experience as well as an amazing set to play through.
