I contacted Renee Matthews last Spring about lessons. I am 67 and had no knowledge about violins or playing. Renee offered me lessons through Zoom. I was a bit skeptical, but she has an amazing ability to hear sound and see technique over the screen. She is passionate about her music and is always kind. Renee is an extremely knowledgeable traditional violin teacher and also a great jazz violin teacher. She has all the good licks! She is very patient and explains things in a way that make sense and I have made great improvement in my playing.
