About Yuliya
I was born in Russia and started playing violin at the age of 4, and piano at age of 6. My fist violin came as a birthday gift from my father who taught me a first song. Soon after my friends came to listen and I gave my first performance, a very successful one! When I turned 6, I started studying in The Kursk State School of Music where I performed on stage and won my fist competitions. Later I took a running start in The Kursk State Music College to become a violin and piano teacher. Music became my passion and my future.
When still in college, I started working in The School of Arts and became a leading teacher and a Head of Department of String Instruments. My students regularly performed onstage and successfully participated in music competitions. Their performances were always bright and impressive. Later I graduated from the State Pedagogical University with the Master’s Degree in teaching.
After moving to America in 2002 I continued with private piano and violin classes. I always felt the value of the traditional classic education received in Russia.
In 2009 I received a certificate of Educational Leader and Mentor from the board of education of WA. My system is based on individual approach that helps to unlock and develop a potential talent in every student. I believe that teaching children music offers benefits even beyond itself helping to improve concentration and memory, develop sense of creativity and communication, and is a universal language that connects people from around the world!
Welcome to my class where music is not a dream but a REALITY!
