About Emmy
I will help each student grow and foster a love of playing, while gaining the knowledge of foundation skills while learning the violin/viola. Violin is something that has always spoken to and inspired me, and I try to show my own love of music through the instrument to those I teach and play for. It's important to always feel comfortable while playing, as the entire body works together in a unit, and I teach this as your playing foundation!
I have taught violin and viola for 2 years and have been playing for 15 years. Starting at the age of 7, I have learned multiple different styles, genres, and techniques in the instrument. I teach students of all ages, as well as all skill levels. I studied at Utah Valley University for Violin Performance, and now I study with renowned pedegogue, Dr Jeremy Starr.
