About Ellen
I have been a teacher for 30 plus years, working with students on the nursery school level,elementary grades and with adults as well. My career has extended from my years living in New York and now in the Boca Raton area of Florida. My passion has always been Art, and I am currently teaching Acrylic classes part time in a children's Art Studio. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Art Teaching K-12.
I have also taught private watercolor classes to adults in their homes, and like the children I teach, these adults were so happy being creative and learning new techniques. I teach with a positive attitude and approach and I believe we can all excel while having fun! Everyone can enjoy painting!
Aside from seeing my students' finished products, I get pleasure in seeing their self esteem in knowing that they can do it! They feel terrific in their progress, and learn something new each time. Sharing my talent and watching theirs blossom is a great feeling!

When a new student is interested, they call me and I will negotiate a price per hour for my class. I will tell them what materials they will need and how long the class will be. I might ask them if they have had any art experience at all before we begin so I know how to proceed. I will let them know that we will have a great time painting together!
