About Ashley
Hi! I’m Ashley, an Honors Biology graduate from the University of Windsor and a current Doctor of Naturopathy student at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. With over five years of tutoring experience at Kumon, I’ve worked with students from preschool through high school, helping them strengthen their skills in math, English, and science.
I’m patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. Choosing the right tutor can make all the difference, and my goal is to help every student build confidence while improving their grades.
I graduated with Honors in Biology from the University of Windsor and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Naturopathy at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of science, math, and critical thinking, while my experience has taught me how to explain challenging concepts in a way that actually makes sense.
Throughout high school and my degree, I worked as a tutor at Kumon, teaching math and English to students ranging from preschool to high school. During that time, I learned that no two students learn the same way. Some need step-by-step guidance, others benefit from visual explanations, and some simply need someone who believes in them and helps them build confidence.
My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, whether that’s catching up in class, preparing for a test, improving grades, or getting ahead. I create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that’s where real learning happens.
I don’t believe that success is about memorizing answers. I think it’s about understanding the “why” behind the material. My goal is to help students become independent, confident learners who leave each lesson feeling more capable than when they arrived.
