About Estelle
I am a violin tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance, specialising in Baroque violin. My work focuses on young children, helping them build strong aural skills and a love of music.
I incorporate storytelling, rhythm games, movement, and simple melodies into lessons. These playful strategies make learning technique and musicianship enjoyable. I also draw on Suzuki and Kodály-inspired methods to guide listening, pitch recognition, and musical memory.
Students learn to hear patterns, match pitches, and develop rhythm naturally. Lessons are interactive, imaginative, and joyful. I encourage creativity and self-expression in every class.
My goal is to help children develop strong musical ears while having fun. Together, we make violin learning imaginative, playful, and full of musical delight.

My teaching approach emphasises improvisation and creativity on the violin. I focus on jazz, folk, and world music styles, encouraging students to develop their own unique musical voice. Lessons are playful, expressive, and designed to foster spontaneity.
Students learn to create melodies over chord progressions while practising phrasing, rhythm, and articulation. I guide them in developing a personal improvisational style and strengthening musical intuition.
Improvisation is explored in solo work and small ensembles, building listening skills and confidence. Techniques from jazz and folk traditions are adapted for expressive violin playing.
I enjoy working with worship singers and musical theatre performers, connecting vocal expression to violin improvisation. Lessons balance technique, style, and personal creativity.
My goal is to help students unlock creative freedom and musical confidence. Together we bring out your inner jazz or folk fiddler. Lessons are inspiring, imaginative, and full of musical fun.
