About Joni
I am an experienced violin tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, helping students from school level to working professionals develop their musical abilities. I am deeply passionate about music and enjoy sharing my knowledge with students of all levels.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and steady progress. I believe that strong fundamentals are essential for long-term success in violin playing. I focus on teaching posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm, and note reading in a clear and simple way.
As students progress, I guide them towards advanced techniques and help them develop their own musical style and expression. I use practical exercises, real-life examples, and regular feedback to make learning effective.
I have successfully taught over 150 students, many of whom have improved their confidence and performance skills. I create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to learn and grow. My goal is to make violin learning a meaningful and rewarding experience.

My teaching approach is student-centred and focused on understanding and consistent practice. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain violin techniques so students can easily relate to what they learn and apply it effectively. I focus on building a strong foundation through posture, finger placement, bow control, and scales, ensuring proper technique from the beginning.
I follow a step-by-step teaching method and adjust my pace according to each student’s learning needs. Communication is an important part of my classes, and I encourage students to interact openly and share their challenges.
I provide continuous feedback and support to guide their improvement. I follow honesty, patience, and dedication in my teaching. In addition to violin, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, and performance skills.
