About PhoebeT
I am an experienced music educator and professional voice artist with a long-standing passion for music, voice and performance.
I hold a Diploma in Contemporary Music from UCSI, where I studied from 1999 to 2002. I have been teaching music since the early 2000s, working with students across different ages and stages of musical development.
My background includes vocal and music teaching, piano and keyboard education, as well as specialized Musikgarten training in Babies, Toddlers, Young Child, Keyboard for Children and Keyboard for Adults. I also hold ABRSM Grade 7 in Piano.
Alongside teaching, I have approximately 30 years of professional experience as a voice artist, working across commercial and other professional voice projects. My work as a voice artist has received international recognition with a nomination at the SOVAS Voice Arts Awards.
I also have experience performing in musical theatre, which has contributed to my understanding of performance, interpretation and communicating through music.
I enjoy helping students discover and develop their individual voices. My aim is to provide an encouraging learning environment where students can build solid musical foundations, develop confidence and enjoy making music.

My vocal lessons are personalized according to each student’s age, experience, musical interests and individual goals. I welcome young children, school-age students, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to more experienced singers.
Lessons focus on developing healthy vocal technique, breathing and breath support, pitch, rhythm, tone, vocal control, musical expression, song interpretation and performance confidence. Musicianship, music reading and theory can also be incorporated where appropriate.
I teach pop/contemporary and worship repertoire, and can also work with students preparing for auditions and performances. Lessons can be tailored towards developing the voice, building confidence and enjoying singing at the student’s own pace.
My approach is encouraging and individualized — every voice is different, and I adapt my teaching to help each student develop their own voice with greater confidence, understanding and musical expression.

This first lesson is free to allow you to get to know your teacher so that they can best meet your needs.

Details
The complimentary 30-minute first session is an introductory consultation and vocal assessment, allowing us to discuss your musical background, goals and areas of focus before commencing regular lessons.
Regular lessons are RM180 per hour. A RM30 travel fee applies to lessons held at the student’s home. Package rates are available for students who wish to pre-book a series of lessons.
