About Mohana
Hello! I’m Mohana Paul, an Economics major at Baruch College with a strong background in writing, test prep, and one-on-one instruction. I currently serve as a volunteer tutor with Tutoring Chicago, where I support students in mastering core subjects through personalized, goal-oriented lessons. With certifications in Project Management (IBM–Coursera) and Microsoft Office, as well as experience in structured communication through the McKinsey Forward Program, I bring both professionalism and structure to every session. Whether you're preparing for the ACT, improving essay writing, or diving into literature analysis, I’ll help you feel confident, capable, and ready to succeed.

As a tutor, I take a personalized and student-centered approach. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and learning style. From there, I create structured lesson plans that break down complex material into manageable, engaging parts. A typical session includes a warm-up review, focused skill-building exercises (grammar, reading comprehension, timed writing), and real ACT-style practice to apply what we’ve learned.
What sets me apart is my experience as a volunteer tutor with Tutoring Chicago, where I work one-on-one with students from underserved communities. That role has taught me how to adapt quickly and support academic growth, students' confidence, and motivation.
My lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for the ACT, those needing help with essay writing, or anyone looking to improve their English literature and writing skills in a focused, supportive environment.
