I base my teaching methods depending on if I am teaching a group or individual. In the cases of private tutoring, I first ask the needs of the student. I believe it is essential to understand what students are struggling with, and even if they do not know exactly, I am open to discovering what it is that is difficult for them. I am in college to get my degree in English and eventually teach high school, middle school, or even at the collegiate level. I am very flexible in my curriculum, but often I find that when students do not know the base-line of writing; for example, proper grammar, I like to start with these exercises and then get to the material they may be struggling with in their classes.

Details
My starting rate is $15 dollars an hour; however, if you wish to do in-person tutoring my rate goes up to $20 an hour. I offer a free first lesson so that we can lay the groundwork for our future lesson and so I can get an idea of whether or not I can help/we are a good fit! I want to make sure that my clients are successful in reaching our goals so being flexible, patient, and understanding is something I pride myself in when working with students.
