About Mary
My mother has been an educator my entire life. From a young age, she taught me that education and knowledge are power. I believe learning should be fun, interactive, and achievable for every student, no matter their circumstances. I have experience empowering a diverse range of individuals to reach their educational goals. From grade school to older adults, I have taught subjects such as creative writing, literature, elementary science, social studies, and GED preparation.

I am passionate about meeting students where they are at and finding methods that work best with their learning style. A few of my favorite teaching methods and techniques include, but are not limited to:
Interactive Discussions: Engaging students in open discussions, encouraging them to share opinions, ask questions, and participate actively in the learning process.
Socratic Method: Facilitating learning through guided questioning and discussion, encouraging students to think critically and arrive at conclusions on their own.
Visual Aids and Multimedia: Using images, videos, diagrams, and other visual tools to enhance understanding and retention of complex concepts.
Mind Mapping: Creating visual representations of information to help students organize thoughts, connect ideas, and grasp relationships between concepts.
The structure of my lesson plans include: lesson title and grade level, learning objectives, materials and resources, pre-assessment/review, main instructional activities, evaluation, homework/follow-up activities.
