About Lena

With over 7 years of experience as a Chemistry tutor and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, I bring both academic depth and real-world insight to my teaching. My passion lies in the fascinating chemistry of natural products and biomolecules. I’m especially drawn to the vibrant world of secondary metabolites, natural dyes, flavors, and the diverse range of biologically active compounds that nature offers.
From the pigments in flowers to the healing compounds in medicinal plants, I love exploring how nature crafts complex molecules with powerful properties. I guide my students through the processes of extraction, isolation, and structural elucidation of these compounds—helping them connect textbook theory with hands-on scientific discovery.
Whether it’s understanding how turmeric gets its golden hue or how alkaloids influence our biology, I strive to make each lesson engaging and relevant. My approach is patient, interactive, and tailored to each student’s academic level and curiosity.
I believe chemistry is not just a subject, but a lens to view the natural world more deeply. With the right guidance, any student can grow confident in mastering complex ideas.
