About Briar
In my Chemistry lessons, we explore the fascinating balance that controls chemical systems. I focus on practical learning in acid-base chemistry, pH calculations, titrations, and buffer solutions. These topics are taught through real-life examples that make chemistry easier to understand.

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Chemistry and Nanoscience. I enjoy helping students truly understand bio-organic chemistry rather than memorising reactions. My teaching focuses on the chemical logic behind biological systems and how molecules behave in living environments.
I guide students step by step through reaction mechanisms used in biochemistry. These mechanisms explain how and why reactions occur. Enzyme catalysis is a key topic in my lessons because it connects structure, energy, and function. I break down complex enzyme pathways into clear, logical stages that are easy to follow.
We also explore the synthesis of biologically active molecules and their importance in medicine and research. This helps students see how organic chemistry supports real biological and pharmaceutical applications. Over the years, I have supported many future biochemists and medicinal chemists in building strong foundations. I focus on problem-solving, clarity, and confidence in every session. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.
