About Don
I am a graduate student in Statistics with a focus in machine learning and AI. I did my undergrad in applied math with a minor in English at UC Berkeley, where I was a Regents' and Chancellor's scholar. I personally have scored a 2290 on the SAT, an 800 on the Math 2, 790 on both the Physics and Chemistry, and 780 on the US history SAT subject tests, was a national AP scholar with 14 AP tests in high school, and more recently scored 170/170 on the quantitative, 169/170 on the verbal, and 5.5/6 on the analytical writing portions of the GRE. I have taught hundreds of students over the last 8 years in preparation for all sections of the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT, as well as academic subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, calculus, statistics, US history, and English literature. I also offer application essay advice. My former students have gone on to score above the 90th percentile in their exams, and some have gone on to attend institutions such as Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Princeton, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, and NYU.

I approach teaching with the knowledge that every student has particular needs, even though the tests may be standardized. I incorporate consideration of these factors into personalizing an approach to efficiently and effectively teaching the fundamental techniques required to achieve the highest scores on these exams. There is no substitute for motivation and dedication, but with my help students can focus that drive to quickly reach the results they desire.
