About Eve

I am a piano tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. I have taught over 150 students from absolute beginners to motivated advanced players across all piano styles and levels. My lessons cover classical technique, jazz harmony, pop piano, contemporary styles, music theory, and examination preparation for ABRSM and Rockschool. I am passionate about helping every student find a genuine and personal relationship with the piano rather than just developing surface technical ability. My approach is patient, structured, and always personalised to the individual student. I use backing tracks, ear training tools, and composition apps to keep sessions varied, engaging, and musically stimulating. I have helped students pass graded examinations with strong results and develop into confident and expressive performers. About the lesson

My piano lessons are structured to develop technique, theory, and genuine musical expression simultaneously in an integrated and enjoyable way. Every session begins with scales, arpeggios, and targeted technique exercises appropriate to the student's current level and development goals. Theory is taught continuously alongside practical playing so understanding of harmony, rhythm, and form deepens naturally alongside growing technical skill. Jazz students work on chord voicings, extended harmonies, improvisation over progressions, and the rhythmic feel and swing that makes jazz piano authentic and musical. Classical students follow carefully graded repertoire alongside supporting technique studies appropriate to their examination level. Pop and contemporary students develop chord-based playing, song accompaniment patterns, and the rhythmic feel that makes modern piano styles sound genuinely musical. I use backing tracks consistently to develop timing, groove, and the musical sensitivity needed for expressive and authentic playing. Composition is offered to students wanting to develop their own musical creative voice, starting simply and progressing to more personal and complete original works. Detailed written practice notes are provided after every lesson so students always have a clear and productive home practice routine to follow. My goal is for every student to become a genuinely confident, expressive, and joyful pianist.
