About Sarish
A dedicated and academically accomplished psychology professional with a first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology, along with postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Child Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience & Neuropsychology. Currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology, I have a strong passion for both learning and teaching. My academic journey has equipped me with excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts, making me well-suited for tutoring roles. I am eager to help students gain a deeper understanding of psychology and related subjects. While I am open to tutoring mathematics, my expertise and primary interest lie in psychology, where I strive to inspire and engage students in exploring human behaviour and cognitive science.

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I use a student-centred approach, making lessons interactive and engaging. I simplify complex concepts with visual aids, examples, and analogies, breaking down material into manageable steps. I encourage active participation and critical thinking through discussions and problem-solving activities. I use a mix of traditional and modern resources, like textbooks, articles, and multimedia, to cater to different learning styles. I regularly check for understanding, ask questions, and provide feedback to help students improve. Typical Length of a Lesson: A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes. This length ensures a balance between covering sufficient material without overwhelming the student. I like to keep lessons dynamic, including short breaks if needed, to maintain focus and allow for better retention. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I hold a first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology and have postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Child Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience & Neuropsychology. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Psychology to stay updated on the latest research. Although I haven’t yet taught psychology, I have experience tutoring piano, where I developed many transferable skills such as, adapting my teaching approach to meet students' needs and helping them improve. Who the Lessons Are For: I am looking forward to tutoring GCSE students in Psychology. My lessons will focus on helping students understand the basics of psychology and supporting those who may be struggling with the subject. I aim to make psychology engaging and accessible, with an emphasis on human behaviour and cognitive science. I am excited to help students build a strong foundation in the subject as they prepare for their exams.
