About Lucy

I’m Lucy, a Spanish and Italian mother-tongue tutor with a strong academic background in Spanish. I attended a Spanish-speaking prep school and studied Spanish Language and Literature before continuing my Spanish studies at university as an additional module alongside my Economics degree in Italy.

I also lived in Andalucía, Spain, for a year, giving me valuable experience of Spanish life, culture and everyday language. I bring both a natural command of Spanish and a strong academic understanding of the language.

I enjoy helping school and university students, adults, professionals and executives develop confidence, fluency and accuracy in Spanish. My lessons are friendly, personalised and adapted to each learner’s individual goals.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching Spanish is friendly, personalised and focused on building confidence as well as strong language skills. I adapt every lesson to the learner’s age, level, objectives and learning style, using a combination of conversation, structured practice, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and listening activities.

For younger learners, I aim to make lessons engaging and enjoyable while developing a strong foundation in Spanish. I can support school students with their Spanish studies, including GCSE and A-level preparation, homework, speaking practice and exam preparation.

For university students and adults, lessons can be adapted to academic requirements, conversational Spanish, travel, professional communication or more advanced language development. I also offer executive and business Spanish for professionals who want to communicate confidently in meetings, presentations, negotiations and international settings.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although lessons can be adapted depending on the learner’s age, goals and availability. Each session has a clear focus, while allowing flexibility to address areas where the student needs additional support.

I believe that the best progress comes from creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and practising Spanish without pressure. My aim is to help every learner become more confident, accurate and independent in their use of Spanish.

Lessons are suitable for school-age students, GCSE and A-level students, university students, adults, professionals and executives, from beginners through to advanced learners.
